what they say

Jem is an exceptional dog walker. He walked my three-legged rescue dog with complex behavioral needs for around 5 years. It was the highlight of Pedro’s day to spend time with Jem. In that time, Jem showed a real understanding of my dog’s needs – cutting down his walks gradually as he got older and being sensitive to his well-being – as well as a real love of him and his quirks. Your dog will thank you for choosing Jem.

Jem has looked after our Bob for 5 years and is one of his close family! He’s reliable, completely trustworthy and Bob loves him dearly. Being a rescue dog with hangovers from his former life we have always struggled with Bob until we met Jem. Now Bob goes for overnights and daytime sits every week and I never have to worry about him at all as I know he’s so happy where he is. Given that Bob is quite picky, this is no mean feat! We feel so lucky and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jem to anyone looking for a dog walker.

Becky has been great since she started walking Ren. She is reliable, friendly and Ren loves her! When Becky has dog sat at our home she has been super respectful of the house, and keeps us up to date with how Ren is getting on, giving us the reassurance we need to relax when away. She is a lifesaver and we couldn’t do without her!

I’m so glad I got in touch with Hound Solo. They take the time to get to know your dog and what they need so it really works for them. Becky is brilliant with our golden retriever. He is always incredibly excited when she arrives for a walk and is happy and tired when he gets home! It’s obvious that Becky engages him both mentally and physically. She is both reliable and punctual but also does everything to accommodate us if we need to change times around. We highly recommend Becky and Hound Solo. It’s a brilliant service!

Jem looked after Tyson for three years with daily walks and day care whenever I needed him, as well as occasional holidays. Tyson loved spending time with Jem as well as his dog Raki who patiently put up with Ty’s silliness. I always felt confident that Ty was well looked after. Thanks Jem and Raki

Jem is 100% reliable and excellent with our chihuahua Lola – she looks forward to his walks and he always sends us updates so we can see what they’ve been up to together. There’s no one I’d trust more to look after Lola and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

“The team at HoundSolo have been brilliant ever since they started walking and helping with my whippet puppy Ronnie – they go above and beyond to be flexible and help

Hound Solo are amazing. They are caring and trustworthy and I know when my very precious fur baby is with any of the team he’ll be treated like a king. I’d thoroughly recommend them.

We found Jem whilst searching for an experienced dog minder that could take care of our girls. Both Tulula and Macey are powerful breeds but Jem was a perfect match. It is clear he has experience with large dogs and was completely in control of them from the start. Having Jem has changed our lives and if he has space for you then look no further.

Jem was fabulous when we bought our miniature long-haired puppy Wilson home. He was one of Wilson’s first dog sitters – such a help during those early days of acclimating our little one. Jem is kind and gentle, very responsible and extremely trustworthy. I whole heartily recommend Jem to all dog parents.

Jem is very professional, reliable and most importantly my little pug Buddy absolutely adores him. He clearly has a way with dogs, taking Buddy’s quirks in his stride. Jem’s own dog is such a delight. He’s so chilled and friendly that Buddy has now become obsessed with his ‘big brother’. Jem has looked after Buddy on numerous occasions for the past 4 years, always sending me regular updates and pictures. I would strongly recommend his services to others.
